The Sexual Life and Quality of Life in Women with Vaginitis Treatment

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between sexual life and quality of life in women being treated for vaginitis. Method: 116 women with vaginitis were asked to complete questionnaires designed to assess general characteristics, gynecologic characteristics, sexual life, and quality of life. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson’s correlation coefficients and regression, using the SPSS WIN 20.0 program. Results: There was a negative correlation between sexual behavoir attitude and quality of life. There was a positive correlation between sexual behavior characteristics and quality of life. There was a negative correlation between sexual behavior attitude and sexual behavior characteristics. Sexual behavior attitude, postmenopause, and fatigue affected quality of life. Conclusion: Results suggest that the development of sex-related counseling and education programs might improve the quality of life for women with vaginitis.
