Nursing workload monitoring by job activity on UWB indoor tracing system

Author: KYUJIN KIM, JAEMIN HONG, SHINHEON KIM, CHONGGUN KIM
Abstract: Workload and staff activity monitoring is important to understand and have better working environment. One of effective observation methods for workload monitoring is to check job related activity of target workers. UWB is an increasing indoor positioning method because it has high positioning accuracy. However, indoor positioning based on UWB has many problems to solve. For monitoring the activity of an object in some period, accurate and continuous tracking is needed. A multi-cell system is proposed to expand target area based on UWB modules. The proposed multi-cell UWB object tracing system based on positioning can be used for analyzing nursing workload at hospitals to measure nursing activities. Important factors for analyzing workload of nursing activities are categorized. Measuring nursing activities is critical steps to understand relationship between nursing activities and job workload
