Synthesis and fungicidal activity of substituted 1-[(1,3-dioxolan-4-yl)]methyl-1H-imidazoles and 1-[(1,3-dioxolan-4-yl)methyl]-1H-1,2,4-triazoles based on arylidene ketones

Abstract: Chloromethyldioxolanes were synthesized on the basis of arylidene ketones obtained by condensation of ketones with aldehydes. The interaction of chloromethyldioxolanes with 1,2,3-triazole or imidazole resulted in the substituted 1-[(1,3-dioxolan-4-yl)]methyl-1H-imidazoles, 1-[(1,3-dioxolan-4-yl)methyl]-1H-1,2,4-triazoles.In vitro tests of substituted compounds showed high fungicidal activity against six common fungal phytopathogens: Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Fusarium oxysporum, Fusarium moniliforme, Bipolaris sorokiniana, Rhizoctonia solani and Venturia inaequalis.
