Polymorphism of IL-1ß gene in Iraqi pediatric pneumonia patients

Author: EMANMOBDERNAYIF FRIAL, GEMEELABD
Abstract: A Patients -healthy specimens were collected between February 2017-May 2017 and its included 100 Iraqi patients infected with pneumonia that diagnosed by consultant physician and 30 specimens of healthy control group from Babylon Province two types of specimen have be taken from each subject in present study first: blood samples for DNA extraction from WBCs, second: serum samplesfor estimation the concentration of IL-1ß by ELISA technique.Enzyme –linked immunosorbent assay technique showed that the concentration of IL-1 ß in serum patients have non-significant increase (p = 0.108) in comparison with healthy control,79.1960± 24.88416pg / ml for patients and43.9806± 92.47785 for healthy control group.According to SNPs-genotypes combination principle the pneumonia patients have genotype CT-CT and TT-TT .While the healthy control has CC-CC genotype. find the relationship between pneumonia and polymorphism of IL-1and its concentration in serum.
