Wound infection of the skin is mainly due to surgery, trauma and insect bites on the mucosa or surface of the skin.
The most common bacterial cause of skin infections is Staphylococcus aureus. Many antibiotics used for healing wound
infections due to pathogenic bacteria become resistant. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability and
optimum dose of lime (Citrus aurantifolia) peel extract in inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus aureus. The method
used in this study was laboratory experiments, using completely randomized design with seven treatments and three
replications. Variations in the doses used were 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100%. Kruskal Wallis statistical test produced
a significance value of 0.005
