Two simple, rapid, precise, economical and accurate spectrophotometric methods have been developed for
simultaneous analysis of Gallic Acid, Ellagic Acid and Curcumin in their combined dosage form. Absorbance
Correction methodemploys measurement of marker at particular wavelength where other substances shows no
interference.Whilein First order derivative Spectroscopic method,ZCP (Zero cross point) were determined at which
measurement of one marker can be done without interference of other markers. Developed methods were validated
according to ICH guidelines. The calibration graph follows Beer’s law in the range of 2-20 µg/ml for Gallic Acid, 5-50
µg/ml for Ellagic Acid and 1-10 µg/ml for Curcumin with R square value greater than 0.99. Accuracy of all methods
was determined by recovery studies and showed % recovery between 98 to 102%. Intraday and Interday precision
was checked for both methods and mean %RSD was found to be less than 2 for both methods. The methods were
successfully applied for estimation of Gallic Acid, Ellagic Acid and Curcumin in Polyherbal Antidiabetic formulation.
