Abstract:

We have examined the indexes of aortic central pressure(CPA), arterial stiffness and cytokine levels (levels of proinflammatory
cytokine - interleukin-1ß, anti-inflammatory cytokine - interleukin-10, CD40 ligand (CD40L)) were
studied in patients with grade 2 and 3 arterial hypertension and coronary heart disease. The results of the study
suggest that the increase in the parameters of CPA, vascular stiffness and a decrease in the elasticity of the arterial
bed are most noticed among the patients with CHD and cicatricial changes in the myocardium. The highest rates of
CD40L were observed among the patients with CHD and IHD CHD with postinfarctioncardiosclerosis (PIC).
