Abstract:

Optimal Reactive Power Dispatch (ORPD) is a huge scale, non-straight, non-continuous and exceedingly compelled power
system optimization problem. Numerous calculations have been proposed in the writing to understand ORPD. This paper
proposes the utilization of Bat Algorithm (BA), or, in other words the echolocation conduct of bats, to ORPD. BA
consolidates the benefits of existing calculations, for example, Particle Swarm Optimization, Genetic Algorithm and Harmony
Search. IEEE 30 bus system is utilized to approve the proficiency of the proposed technique. Re enactment results
demonstrate that, the BA is an extremely encouraging calculation for ORPD when contrasted with existing algorithms in the
literature.
