This paper is a first attempt to evaluate the clinical efficacy of misoprostol taken during the childbirth preparation course, considering the primary state of maternal passages. Results show that misoprostol will provide the most beneficial effect when prescribed to women with a primary Bishop score of at least 6 points (pre-labor scoring system in which high score means a higher chance at successful induction), no matter what the cervical dystocia case is. Pregnant women with immature cervixes (score 1-4) will respond best to misoprostol ripening the uterine cervixes to the optimum level. Results prove that misoprostol prescribed to women with complicated pregnancy does not have any negative effect on the mother, the fetus and her newborn child.
