Honeybee Apis mellifera L. 1758 plays an importane role in the biocenosis, acting as a pollinator. Vigorous activity of bee colonies is restricted by a number of factors, one of which is pathogens of nosemosis in honey bees Nosema sp. For taking timely preventive measures, it is necessary to know the degree of damage to bee families caused by these pathogens. The article describes the method of quantitative diagnosing of the disease followed by the assessment of the extent of bee colonies’ infestation proposed by the authors. The method is based on counting the average number of spores in a bee sample with a hemocytometer - a Goryaev chamber, and assessment of the extent of bee colonies’ infestation in scores (1 score - up to 5 million spores per bee, 2 scores - from 5.05 million to 25 million spores per bee, 3 scores - from 25.05 to 75 million spores per bee, and 4 scores - over 75 million spores per bee). The advantages of the proposed method consist in reducing the complexity of counting the average number of spores in a bee and the optimal assessment of the extent of bee families infestation by pathogens of nosemosis.
