Abstract:

The article presents the results of a study on the distribution of toxocarosis of dogs in Almaty. Clinico-morphological signs of toxocariasis are described. In a coprological study of 78 dogs aged between 2 months and 4 years, 24 (63.2%) had an invasion. Helminthes Toxocara canis infected 18 dogs or 47.3%. Of the total number of dogs examined, 49% were under 1 year of age, 31% were under 1 to 2 years old, 15% from 2 to 3 years, 9% from 3 to 5 years. The difference in infection (from 9% to 49%) of dogs with helminths, depending on the age, was 40%.
