Abstract: The epidemiological geography of trematode infections of ruminants in various agro-climatic conditions of the Middle Volga region has been studied on the example of the administrative districts of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The main epidemiological categories have been determined for the formation and functioning of the fascioliasis parasitic system, companions of which were Fasciola hepatica, the associates of cattle population, freshwater gastropods (Lymnaea truncatula), standing water bodies and slow-flowing water sources. Indicators of ill-being (territorial application), the epizootological index (time limits), and the incidence rate of cattle fasciolosis (extensive infection and intensive infection) in the region have been determined and accurately measured. The results of the research were the basis for optimizing the trematode infection preventing activities in the region.
