Currently, dentistry is one of the fastest growing areas of medical science. However, in the conditions of large patient throughput, dentistsare vulnerable to a wide range of adverse factors. These factors include forced static work posture resulting in musculoskeletal disorders. This study aims to reveal the influence of occupational health problems associated with improper work posture on changes in dental practitioners’ handwriting. It has been found that musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and respiratory disorders are the most frequent occupational health issues for dentists. Handwriting deterioration has been found in over a half of surveyed dentists, which makes the work harder for their pharmacist counterparts. Dentists with musculoskeletal disorders more often have deteriorated handwriting. Revealingthe causes of doctors’ handwriting deteriorationwill help to find prophylactic measures and develop recommendations on occupational hygiene practices of dentists, as well as recognize handwriting as a health marker.
