The premature loss of temporary teeth influences the effectiveness of chewing leading to diseases of the maxillofacial region and the gastrointestinal tract. Prosthetic measures restore the dentition integrity, while maintaining space for permanent teeth. However, not all restorations influence positively the chewing process. A study of the chewing episode duration in children with premature loss of temporary molars at the age of 3-7 years before and after the restorative procedures and in the follow-up period was conducted. The obtained results confirmed the improvement of the chewing function when using removable laminar dentures.
