Abstract:

Relapsing polychondritis is a rare multisystem disease, presumably of an autoimmune nature, affecting structures rich in proteoglycans and cartilage tissues. According to the literature, even in the presence of reliable signs of RPH, the disease is diagnosed on average 2.9 years after the first visit to the doctor. The article presents a brief review of the literature on pathogenesis, general approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of RP. A clinical case of early diagnosis of RP in a 52-year-old patient is described.
