Bachground: Acute motor axonal neuropathy(AMAN) is a subtype of Guillain-Barre Syndrome(GBS),characterized with decreased amplitude of compound muscle action potentials(CMAPs) and absence of demyelinating findings in electro diagnostic studies.
Case Report: 20 years old man patient presented with generalized weakness since 20 days ago. He had diarrhea for 3 weeks before weakness. There were flaccid quadriparesis, normal to brisk tendon reflexes, atrophy of distal muscles of limbs specially interossei of hands in physical examination.
Conclusion: Findings of electro physiologic studies were normal F waves and H reflexes, decreased amplitude of CMAPs of 4 limbs nerves, normal latency and amplitude of sensory nerves, denervation potentials in limbs muscles, no fasciculation of tongue muscles and normal repetitive stimulation test.
