ABSTRACT
Synthesis of 1, 2, 3-triazole quinoxaline derivatives (4a-l) using 1, 3-dipolar cycloaddition (click chemistry) reaction of 6-azido -5-bromoquinoxaline (2a) with various substituted alkynes (3a-l) in the presence of Cu (I) catalyst has been achieved in very high yields. Some synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, C13 NMR and Mass spectroscopy. All these compounds were evaluated for their in vitro antimicrobial activities. Among these compounds 4a, 4d, 4e, 4h and 4i have shown good antibacterial activity against different human pathogens.
