Morinda Pubescens Linn. is one of the medicinally important plant in present study. pharmacognostical and phytochemical evaluations of its leaves have been carried out. Pharmacognostical parameters for the leaves were studies with the aim of establishing monograph for this species. In pharmacognostical investigation, examination of macroscopical, microscopical characters, stomata study, vein isolate number, palisade ratio and ash values were carried out. Phytochemical screening includes qualitative chemical examination of the detected phytoconstituents. In this study tannin was found to be present in higher concentration.
