Investigating the effect of foot reflexology massage on anxiety in children with thalassemia major (a systematic review)

Abstract: Children with thalassemia major face stress and anxiety over the course of their lifetime. There are several studies that confirm the effect of foot reflexology on the anxiety of the various patients. therefore, the present study was conducted to assess the effect of foot reflexology massage on anxiety in children with thalassemia major. the keywords of children with thalassemia and foot reflexology and anxiety were searched in the Google scholars, science direct pub med,ISI, PsycINFO and Web of Science databases. In the last stage, 52 studies that were most closely related to the research subject were included. Reflexology is one of the interventions for modulating anxiety and pain using complementary therapies. Considering that many studies have confirmed the effect of foot reflexology on the anxiety of patients and children with thalassemia.
