In Vitro Anticancer Activity Of Leaves Of Rumex Vesicarius Linn And Symplocos Racemosa Roxb By Trypan Blue Method

Abstract: Abstract: Objective: The objective of present study to evaluate anticancer activity of leaves of Rumex vesicarius Linn and Symplocos racemosa Roxb. Methods: In this study Cytotoxicity was assayed by Trypan blue dye exclusion method, different extracts of leaves of plant Rumex vesicarius Linn. & Symplocos racemosa Roxb were found to be cytotoxic to HT-29 and PC-3 cell line. Result: Different extracts of leaves of plant Rumex vesicarius Linn. and Symplocos racemosa Roxb were showed significant (P<0.001) cytotoxic effect on HT-29 and PC-3 cell line in a dose dependent manner. Conclusion: The study demonstrated that all the extracts of Rumex vesicarius Linn and Symplocos racemosa Roxb shows significant Cytotoxic effect on HT-29 and PC-3 cell line in dose dependent manner.
