Occurrence of lung cancer in lifelong never smokers has been increased worldwide and most common cause of mortality was reported due to only lung cancer across the world. Lung cancer that occurs in never smokers is reported different from active smokers in terms of their molecular profile and response of chosen targeted therapies to combat lung cancer. Many genetic, hormonal and environmental factors were found responsible for the risk of lung cancer in never-smokers as per the available data on its clinical epidemiology that implicate its aetiology. Recently, the selected therapeutic approaches using EGFR-TK inhibitor, ALK inhibitor and HGFR or c-MET inhibitors were suggested to treat this disease as remarkable molecular targeted therapies which has been successfully proposed as more competent to suppress oncogenes in lifelong never smokers lung cancer patients.
