Simultaneous Determination of Paracetamol and Diclofenac Potassium by Equation Method and Q-analysis

| Abstract:
|
Two new, rapid, economical and simple spectrophotometric methods were investigated for the estimation of paracetamol and diclofenac potassium in combined tablet dosage forms. Method-A involved simultaneous equation where the drugs were determined by using absorptivity values of paracetamol and diclofenac potassium at selected wavelengths of 248 nm and 282 nm. In method-B, the Q-absorbance equation was applied at 269.1 nm (isoabsorptive point) and at 282 nm. The two proposed methods have been applied successfully for the analysis of cited drugs in combination formulations with good accuracy and precision.
