Study Parathyroid Hormones, Procalcitonin Level, And Some Physiological Parameters In Chronic Renal Failure In Salah Al-Din Governorate

Abstract: The current study aimed to evaluate the level of parathyroid hormones, procalcitonin, and some ions (sodium, potassium, calcium), in addition to evaluating the level of some liver enzymes (ALT, AST) In patients suffering from chronic renal failure in Salah al-Din Governorate. The current study included (80) samples, 20 of which belonged to the healthy group with ages ranging between 20-40 years, and 60 samples belonged to the patient group. These samples were divided according to gender and age groups. The patients’ ages ranged from (20-80) years. Table No. (1): The results of the tests showed a significant increase (P=0.05) in the levels of PTH, ALT, AST, sodium and potassium, and a significant decrease (P=0.05) in the levels of Procalcetonin and calcium in all study groups compared to the control.
