Abstract: This paper critically examines the challenges faced by women's education in India. It delves into the socio-cultural, economic, and systemic barriers that hindered women's access to quality education during this period. By analyzing these challenges, the paper aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the factors that affected women's educational opportunities and advancement in India. Women's education is a cornerstone of societal progress and gender equality. In India, despite considerable strides, significant challenges persist that hinder women's access to quality education. This paper delves into the multifaceted challenges faced by women in accessing education in India, including cultural norms, socioeconomic barriers, gender disparities, and systemic biases. By examining these challenges and their implications, the paper aims to shed light on the urgency of addressing these issues and presents potential strategies for promoting women's education and empowerment.
