Abstract: Objectives: The objective of present work was to develop and validate UV-Spectrophotometric method for estimation of Paracetamol API . Materials and method: UV –Spectrophotometric method was developed using distilled water as solvent. The developed method was standardized in terms of validation parameters such as simple, sensitive, linear as per ICH Q2 (R1) guidelines. Results: Paracetamol exhibits ? max at 243 nm and in the beer’s range 1 to 5 µg/ml beer’s law was obeyed. The Limit Of Detection is found to be 0.135µg/ml and limit of quantification is found to be 0.411µg/ml . Conclusion: The method was found to be simple, selective, linear environment freely, can be used for routine estimation analysis of paracetamol .
