Gasturbine Exhaust Diffuser Design and Performance Analysis

Author: K.CHANDRA SEKHAR, D.SARATH KUMAR, SATHISH KUMAR, R.SAI LAVANYA, R.IRFANA BARVEEN
Abstract: Utilizing computational fluid dynamics, the industrial gas turbine exhaust diffuser work will be analysed. The goal of this study is to enhance the performance of the exhaust diffuser while taking into account the distortion of the turbine exit flow and improving the flow rate performance of the diffuser. The effectiveness of the exhaust turbine diffuser has a significant impact on the power and efficiency of the gas turbines. The movement of unstable contact because of the fluctuating pressure rotational stages within the turbine, which induce a swirling flow, must be taken into consideration while building a high efficient diffuser gas turbine. Since the diffuser is the centre that handles different levels of swirl. Pressure loss during flow across the diffuser section will result from swirl flow.
