Artocarpus altilis (Parkinson) Fosberg mainly grows in the tropical and subtropical areas and is widely used as a food and medicine plant. Various bioactive compounds were determined in A. altilis. In this study, the chemical composition of leaves was investigated by chemical reaction. The results showed that the methanol leaf extract had alkaloid, cardiac glycoside, reducing sugar, polyphenols like tannin and flavonoid, and reducing sugar. The total polyphenols and flavonoid content were detected and calculated at 13.57 ± 1.88 mg GAE/100 g d.w and 29.64 ± 7.93 mg QE/100 g d.w, respectively. Due to many active components being found, it is conjectured that the A. altilis leaf extract may carry a wide range of biological activities.
