The need for soap that is effective against germs and easy to carry is very high in Indonesia. Where, paper soap is the solution, but what are the basic ingredients that are effective against germs? Indonesia is rich in katuk (Sauropusandrogynus (L).Merr) whose leaves are found to contain many chemical components, including alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, and saponins. Therefore, this study tested the formulation and stability of katuk leaf extract, the paper soap with a concentration of 20% being highly favored in terms of the color not being too dark green and the aroma not overpowering, with concentrations of 20%, 40%, and 80%. The results showed that katuk leaf extract can be formulated as paper soaps. Where, katuk leaf ethanol extract with 80% was very stable as paper soap, compared to the concentrations of 20% and 40%. However, katuk leaf extract paper soap with a concentration of 20%, 40%, and 80% exhibits a pH of 10, and the water content is between 4.25% and 4.75%. Its foam stability is between 33% and 83%, and free alkali is between 0.16% and 0.64%.
