The article aims to develop a quick, sensitive, effective, precise and accurate spectrophotometric method for estimating tablet dosage forms on albendazole and Trimethoprim. Pure albendazole and Trimethoprim drug samples were dissolved in a methanol mixture with 1 N HCl (80:20). Two wavelengths chosen to form and resolve simultaneous equations were 248 nm for albendazole and 314 nm for Trimethoprim. Trimethoprim is an aminopyrimidine antibiotic whose structure consists of pyrimidine 2,4-diamine and 1,2,3-trimethoxybenzene moieties linked by a methylene bridge.Primarily it is used to treat urinary tract infection. Trimethoprim found with a combination of sulfamethoxazole has a synergistic effect due to the inhibitor effect during the mandatory sequence of enzymatic reactions in the bacteria occurring in more than one step. Albendazole is 5-propylthio-1H-benzimidazol-2-yl-carbamate chemically methyl[1]. The drug prevents the uptake of glucose in both larval and adult parasites, leading to reduced ATP development and subsequent parasite immobilisation.
