Plants are valuable to humanity in a variety of ways. Crataeva nurvala has indeed been discovered employed in the Ayurvedic system of treatment from ancient times. It’s also used folklorically to treat a variety of ailments, including blood purification, respiratory problems, metabolic, fever, abnormalities, memory loss, wound healing, and a weakened immune system. Crataeva nurvala contains flavonoids, glucosinolates, plant sterols, including lupeol, saponins, and tannins are abundant in this plant. Terpenes are the most common type of secondary metabolite found in plants. Varuna is anti-urolithiatic, diuretic, nephroprotective, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, antihyperglycemic, anti-arthritic, anti-periodic, anti-poisonous, anti-infertility, anti-protozoal, wound repair, cytoprotective, anti-cancer, and cardioprotective. This review explores the botany, phtyochemistry, and pharmacology of C. nurvala in great depth. The following is an attempt to point researchers in the right direction.
