Abstract: The aim of this research was to conduct phytochemical characterization, in vitro antioxidant and in vitro anti-inflammatory evaluation of methanol extract of Aeschynanthus sikkimensis (Clarke) Stapf. The phytochemical test was held towards glycosides, carbohydrates, steroids, terpenoids, phenols, tannins, flavonoids and saponins. Determination of total phenolic content (TPC) and total flavonoids content (TFC) were done spectrophotometrically by using Folin-Ciocalteu’s reagent and aluminum chloride (ALCL3) method respectively. The in vitro antioxidant properties were evaluated by assessing DPPH, Superoxide, nitric oxide and reductive ability. The in vitro anti-inflammatory property was evaluated by HRBC membrane stabilization method and inhibition of protein denaturation in both the study Methanol Extract of Aeschynanthus sikkimensis (Clarke) Stapf shown good anti-inflammatory activity as compare to Control. The actions of plant extract were concentration dependent against DPPH, SO, NO and the IC50 values were 18.31, 124 and 85.03 respectively. Total phenolic content and gallic acid of the extract was found to be 164.7µg and 32.811µg respectively. The phytochemical screening showed the presence of carbohydrates, phenols, tannins, flavonoids, saponins, glycoside and terpenoids.
