Striga orobanchioides: A Rare parasitic Medicinal Plant

Abstract: There are so many medicinal plants which have so many important roles in the Ayurveda. On the basis of these effects the medicinal plants are always preferred for the pharmacological investigation as well as for the pharmacognostical and phytochemical screening. Striga genus plants consist over 30 species with variety of medicinal uses and Striga orobanchioides is one of them having Antiandrogenic, Antibacterial, antifungal, Antifertility, Antihistaminic, mast cell stabilizing and Antioxidant activities. This Review is an attempt to compile the details of Striga orobanchioides.
