Screening on Lipid Peroxidation and In vivo Antioxidant activities of various extracts of Cassia absus (Linn) in Rat fed with Atherogenic diet

Author: , A.KOTTAI MUTHU, K.T.SANAL DEV, M.MYTHRI
Abstract: Free radicals have turned to become the main culprit for modifying the normal human health. The human body is being subjected to constant attack by free radicals but its endowed with several enzymatic defense system and low molecular weight owning antioxidants. The present screening on Lipid peroxidation and in vivo antioxidant activities of various concentrates of Cassia absus (Linn) was examined. Lipid peroxidation (TBARS ) and in vivo antioxidant activities was screened, for example, SOD, CAT, GPx, GST and Glutathione (GSH). The level of TBARS are raised in AD rats (bunch II) than that of ordinary Group. Promotion rats indicated altogether (P<0.001) decreased the levels of SOD, CAT, GPx, GST and Glutathione (GSH). The methanolic concentrate of Cassia absus in AD rats were discovered brought down the centralization of TBARS when contrasted and AD rats (Group II). Treatment of methanolic concentrate of Cassia absus in AD rats were indicated fundamentally (p<0.001) expanded the oxidation prevention agent movement, for example, SOD, CAT, GPx, GST and Glutathione (GSH) than that of atherogenic diet treated rats. The methanol concentrate of Cassia absus was indicated huge outcome than that of different Groups. The methanol concentrate of Cassia absus is a significant wellspring of regular oxidative prevention agent, which could be obliging in avoiding growth of several oxidative anxieties.
