Herbal Haematinics: A Review

In treating ailments, herbal plants play an important role. Due to low or lack of adverse effects, most of the populations of the planet opted to take natural ingredients as medicine. Herbal medicines were received as a boon in the treatment of various diseases. In today's world, anemia is a major problem, especially during childhood, pregnancy and even more so during old age. Anaemia with co-morbidities may resulting in death. An effort was made through this review article to discuss medicinal plants with hematinic activity, fewer side effects, of different herbs that are affordable and accessible in order to minimize the occurrence and death rate caused by anaemia. Details of hematinic plants, their source, phytoconstituents, method used to study the hematinic activity is discussed.
