Increase in the size of gingiva has several reasons behind it—inflammation, fibrous enlargement, or an amalgamation of these factors, which can lead to difficulties in optimal oral hygiene maintenance, disturbances in speech and mastication, as well as long-term aesthetic and psychological repercussions on the patient. A 12-year-old female patient reported with the chief complaint of spaces between her teeth. This article reports on a case of gingival overgrowth (GO) which was treated using a combination of gingivectomy and gingivoplasty using LASER and electrosurgery. The inter-disciplinary approach between a periodontist and an orthodontist turned out to be key in successful management of gingival hyperplasia caused as a result of orthodontic forces in involved patients.
