Abstract:

The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between parenting styles and creativity of sixth grade female students. A research sample consisted of 30 students was selected out of all students (1807) using the accessible sampling method. The parenting style questionnaire by Diana Baumrind (1974) and the creativity scale by Abedi (2002) were used to collect information. The Pearson correlation coefficient was used to analyze the data. According to the findings, there was a positive and significant relationship between authoritarian parenting style and the creativity of 6th grade female students.
