Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to examine the predictive role of communication skills and life orientation (pessimism-optimism) in the happiness of students of Payame Noor University in Zahedan. The statistical population of this study included all students of Payame Noor University of Zahedan who were studying in the 2013-2014 academic year and their number was 8000. The sample of the present study consists of 258 undergraduate students of Payame Noor University in Zahedan. This research has been a correlational research method. The method of field data collection is used. For collecting data, three questionnaires and three tests of orientation, communication skills and happiness were completed by the statistical sample selected from Payame Noor University of Zahedan. The results indicated that emotion regulation and determination had a positive and significant relationship with happiness and predicted happiness in students. Life orientation also has a positive and significant relationship with happiness, and predicts happiness in students.
