Author: ZAHRA MIRZAEI, HASSAN AMIRI, EHSAN ROSTAMI
Abstract: Students are the future makers of this society, and the administration and development of the country requires extensive attention to this group. Success and failure in education follow different factors, which in this study was pointed out as the motivation factor for progress, which are influenced by parents' educational styles. Therefore, in this study, the relationship between authoritarian, authoritarian and negligent educational methods and students' academic achievement motivation was discussed. The research method is descriptive. The statistical population included all female students of middle school and high school of education in Homeyl region in the academic year of 1998-99. They use that method in educating their children. The Progress Motivation Questionnaire was administered to their children. The research findings showed that there was a significant and positive relationship between authoritative parenting style and academic achievement. There is no significant correlation between educational style (authoritarian, negligent) and motivation of female students' academic achievement.
