Indeed, despite studies on diseases associated with pervasive disorders such as autism, problems such as the unknown main cause of the disease and the lack of definitive treatment have attracted the attention of many researchers. In this regard, an extensive study has been conducted based on the study of social anxiety, self-efficacy of parents with autistic children and parents with normal children. The main purpose of this study was to compare the social anxiety, resilience and self-efficacy of parents with autistic children and parents with normal children. Research hypotheses are expressed in the form of two main and sub- hypotheses. The main hypothesis is that there is a significant difference between social anxiety, resilience and self-efficacy of parents with autistic children and parents with normal children. The sub-hypothesis is that each of the stated parameters should be examined separately. The considered study area is Shiraz city and the time of study is 2019. Based on this general goal, research hypotheses are developed and with standard questionnaires related to each of the research variables, data are collected from the statistical population and considering the quantitative nature of studies, the analyses were performed using statistical software and data analysis was carried out with SPSS software. Data were provided using software in two general sections: descriptive and inferential findings. The findings of the descriptive section related to parental gender showed that in both normal and autistic children, the parent’s gender is mostly dedicated to women (mothers of these children). Also, these findings show an age range of 40 to 50 years for respondents and 90% of parents of children with autism suffer from low education. The investigation of descriptive statistics with mean and standard deviation (3 research variables) of social anxiety, resilience and self-efficacy indicated that the average scores of parents of autistic children are much higher than the parents of normal children regarding the social anxiety variable. Also, the findings of the normality evaluation of research variables showed that the data related to the research variables for both groups of parents with normal children and autistic children, due to the larger level of significance 0.05, follow the normal distribution. The findings of testing sub-hypothesis showed a 95% confidence interval of this hypothesis.
