Role of Oxidative Stress in Type-2 Diabetes and Obesity: Complications and Significance

Author: , VENKATAIAH GUDISE, BIMALENDU CHOWDHURY, SURYAKANTA SWAIN
Abstract: In the present scenario, diabetes is the first health-related problems, different types of diabetes can occur, and their management depends on their diabetes standards. Hence, there is a high level of passion for dealing with this disorder. Oxidative stress, free radicals, and reactive oxidative species are the major factors for the complications of type-2 diabetes demonstrates previously. Earlier it was shown that most of the patients increased their oxidative stress connected with different biochemical changes that lead to endothelial dysfunction, which is a pathological state of an endothelium. Obesity is a complex disorder, which is a significant cause of despair and carnage. It is mainly associated with increased risk of ill health, disability, and grief. Currently, adipose tissue stores fat in the form of energy and sequester the body. Moreover, it also acts as an endocrine organ, secretes different types of hormones (bioactive molecules) called adipokines. Based on the composite coactions among the adipokines, obesity is represented by persistent low-level inflammation with a perpetual increase in oxidative stress. Over-extension of oxidative stress causes loss of cell structures and less-production of anti-oxidant systems, leading to the expansion of obesity-related problems. The major concluding part to know the oxidative stress in obesity and type-2 diabetes and its significant complications.
