Design Synthesis and Invitro Screening of New Analogues from Quercetein Lead-A Potential Candidate as Antidiabetic

Author: S.GEJALAKSHMI, N.HARIKRISHNAN
Abstract: Diabetes mellitus is a condition characterized by hyperglycaemia in which an increased amount of glucose circulates in the blood plasma. Alpha amylase and alpha glucosidase are two inhibitors which are used to achieve greater control over hyperglycemia in type 2 diabetes mellitus. Chemical constituent from plant based systems continue to play an essential role in health care and their use in different culture have been extensively documented. Quercetin is a naturally occurring flavonoid exhibits a wide range of pharmacological activities among which is the much-reported is antidiabetic activity. The objective of the work therefore clearly pioneers to indicate the potential of these quercetin analogues to manage hyperglycemia. In the present work, we have focused on developing a novel scaffold of a-amylase and a-Glucosidase inhibitors by minor chemical modification of Quercetin by insilico method.
