The subjects were enrolled to either the test group or placebo group. The primary endpoint included the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities (WOMAC) Osteoarthritis Index and secondary endpoint included Visual Analog Scale (VAS) scores and WOMAC sub score for the subjects.
Results: After 60 days of treatment, there was a significant reduction in the mean WOMAC and VAS score in test group compared to placebo. It was also found to be safe and well tolerated.
Conclusion: This study results provide a promising result for the test product as a useful alternative treatment option for the management of symptoms of OA.
