Investigating the Effectiveness of Short-Term Solution-Oriented Instructional Program in The Reduction of Covert Relational Aggression and Augmentation of The Relation-Maintaining Strategies

Author: ZAHRA BAHARI, KIYANOUSH ZAHRAKAR, ZABIH PIRANI
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of short-term solution-oriented program training in reducing latent communication aggression and increasing relationship maintenance strategies. The research method was quasi-experimental with pre-test, post-test with control group with 45-day follow-up. In this statistical population study, all couples seeking divorce referred to the pre-divorce counseling center of the Deputy for Prevention of Justice located in Karaj in 98-99. 21 pairs were selected and divided into two experimental groups (7 pairs in each group) and one control group (7 pairs). The experimental groups underwent solution-oriented training (7 sessions of 90 minutes). But the control group did not intervene. O did not receive. Hidden communication aggression questionnaires (CRA) and relationship retention strategies (RMSM) were used to collect information. To analyze the data obtained from the questionnaires, SPSS software and repeated measures analysis of variance and Ben Foroni post hoc test were used. The results showed that the solution-oriented training treatment in the post-test and follow-up stages had a significant effect on the latent communication aggression and strategies to maintain the relationship between couples (P <0.05). Training based on a short-term communication-based training program is effective in reducing the latent communication aggression of the relationship. Also, training based on short-term solution-oriented training program is effective in increasing relationship maintenance strategies
