Study the Effect of Non-Pharmaceutical Approach on Traumatic Nipple for Lactating Mothers

Abstract: Background: Nipple trauma is one of the most frequent reasons why exclusive breastfeeding is ceased. Aim: To evaluate the effect of non-pharmaceutical approachs using breast milk, mint bag and cabbage leaves on treatment of traumatic nipples for lactating mothers. Methods an intervention study conducted on 150 lactating women, they randomly assigned to one of the three groups. Results: Breast milk, Mint Bag and Cabbage leaves has equally effective in relieving traumatic nipple and pain. Conclusion: Breast milk, Mint Bag and Cabbage leaves combined with applied instructions related to correct breast-feeding measures have clear beneficial effects in the treatment of traumatic nipples
