The objective of the present study is to develop the Itraconazole loaded niosomes and to carry out the in vitro evaluation tests. Itraconazole loaded niosomes are prepared by using thin film hydration method with the usage of Span-40, Span-60 and Tween-60 as surfactants and cholesterol as membrane stabilizer. In vitro drug dissolution was performed for all the formulations ITZ-1 to ITZ-9. All the formulations showed acceptable pharmacopoeia standards. Model fitting analysis for formulation ITZ-4 fitted in the zero order model and koresmeyer-peppas model. The ānā value obtained from the release was non-fickian diffusion mechanism.
