Abstract:

Evolution of new strains due to antimicrobial resistance is of great concern to developing as well as developed countries nowadays. The knowledge of healing properties of the medicinal plants is widely been used to cure microbial diseases due to their availability of rich source of antimicrobial activity. Infectious disease Portray an important cause to mortality among the human population. Different solvents like methanol, ethanol, acetone, petroleum, alcohol, and Ethyl acetate are used to produce extracts from the different parts of plant such as leaves, seed, fruit, stem, and whole plant. This review presents the comprehensive data of 50 medicinal plants with their antimicrobial property tested against gram negative, gram positive bacteria and fungi. These plants extracts can be used to avoid hazards to human health in near future after further analysis.
