Abstract:

Mahagada is group of diseases having incurability primarily due to devolopement of complications. The
conceptual study shows belief of ancient Ayurvedic Acharyas regarding concept of mahagad. Ashmari is one of
the most panic disorder included in mahagad as it is difficult to treat with medicine as well as surgery also. A
case of Renal Calculi (mootrashmari) was treated with gokshurswarnmakshik yoga, 4gm+125mgtwice in day till
expulsion of renalcalculies. The patient was assessed on the basis of subjective parameters i.e. pain in flank
region, haematuria etc.a single case of 60 year old patient with renal calculus treated with gokshur and
swarnmakshikbhasma drug therapy for 28 days symptomatic relief was assessed after treatment result was
found effective in all parameters i.e pain in flank region,calculi expulsion etc.
