a-Terpineol was compared at normal and nanoparticle size. It has been subjected to extensive research.
Employing hemolysis of erythrocyte and ABTS methods, a-terpineol has been tested as a natural antioxidant.
The highest inhibitor of nano a- terpineol was shown in hemolysis and medium inhibitor in ABTS method.
Moreover, a-terpineol was examined for the cytotoxic activity. Nano a- terpineol has shown good inhibition
rate on the cell lines of hepatocellular and colorectal carcinoma. On the other hand, a-Terpineol at normal
size showed less activity towards all tests. This research declares that a-terpineol has perfect antioxidant agent and this effectiveness increases when it becomes at nanoscale size and its efficacy as anti-cancer has increased.
