Background: While doing different surgical procedures the use of anaesthetic drugs will result in alterations in
the haemodynamic parameters and there will changes in the patient awareness to different drugs. That should
be continuously monitored by Anaesthesiologist & Clinical Pharmacist. So, we aimed at Comparing the
Hemodynamic Parameters and Patient Awareness When Using Thiopentone Versus Propofol During and after
Induction of Anaesthesia
Aim and Objectives: To Comparison of Hemodynamic Parameters and Patient Awareness When Using
Thiopentone Versus Propofol During and after Induction of Anaesthesia in A Tertiary Care Hospital.
Materials and Methods: After informed consent, 110 patients belonging to ASA 1, ASA 2 status of age group
willing for the procedure were included for the study. They were allocated to one of the two groups - group A
and group B. Group A (n=60) where patients received Propofol and Group B (n=50) received Thiopentone sodium. Haemodynamic parameters during and after induction and patient awareness were recorded.
