The removal of Cesium by new composites (Nano-manganese oxide/treated activated carbon) from radioactive liquid waste was investigated. Nano manganese oxide was synthesised using a co-precipitation technique and the creation of a new composite was formed by loading a nanoparticle into a treated activated carbon at different ratios. The adsorption of cesium from aqueous solution was studied using a batch technique. Different parameters affecting the adsorption process and the maximum adsorption capacity have been studied. In addition models of isotherm, kinetics and Thermodynamics have been tested. Finally, it is recommended to use those composites in the decontamination purpose since it is easy to prepare and low cost.
